What You’ll Learn

Almost everything that is available at Able Skills from an electrical point of view has been put into this package which exceeds the requirements of a JIB Gold Card. This package will teach you to be an Electrician to level 3 standards, undertake electrical installations in line with current wiring regulations, to inspect and test on both single and three phase supplies and you also achieve a level 3 NVQ and AM2!!!.

This is the biggest package of Electrical training that we have available at Able Skills and provides all of the training and assessment that anyone looking to achieve JIB Gold Card status will require. From novice to fully qualified and ‘Approved Electrician’, this package of learning has everything that you need. You will start with learning the fundamental requirements for undertaking an electrical installation as well as information relating to the structure and organisation of the electrical industry via the C&G 2365 level 2. You will move on to more advanced information on the C&G 2365 level 3 covering scientific principles, fault diagnosis and rectification as well as receive an abundance of knowledge on inspection and testing and installation design. You will also receive training to achieve the 18^th Edition Wiring Regulations – C&G 2382-18 and the much-desired C&G 2391-52 covering inspection & testing for Initial Verification and Periodic Inspections. Once working in the electrical industry, Able Skills will arrange site assessments in order for you to achieve C&G 2357 NVQ level 3 and finally, you will come back to Able Skills to undertake AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2).

How You’ll Learn

You will achieve all of the qualifications within this package by receiving both practical and theory training as well as work-based assessments once you are employed within the industry. The required reading material for City & Guilds 2365 level 2 and 3 are included in the cost of this training package. Our facilities are second to none with good sized classrooms, lots of workshop areas with all the tools you will require for the practical aspects of the course and unlike many other training providers, we also have our own NET approved AM2 centre. You will have constant support from our fully qualified electrical assessors who give everything they have to ensure that you finish your training with Able Skills with a very high level of competency.

Courses Open To You After

This package of learning covers everything you will need to achieve Gold Card JIB status and any additional qualifications would be personal choice, you may wish to consider the Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2396)

Additional Info

This package of learning begins with quite a structured pattern of learning allocating 7 weeks for the C&G 2365 level 2, 1 week for the C&G 2382 and then 6 weeks for the C&G 2365 level 3. Following this, you can move on to the Inspection & Testing qualifications and the date for this would be advised whilst you are here on the earlier courses. When you are working within the industry, the work-based assessments can be arranged and at any time you feel ready, you can arrange to come in and sit for the AM2 assessment. This is an intensive package of learning and some home-study will be required so if you feel that it would be better to locate yourself close to the training centre, Able Skills has accommodation that is available on a room only basis at £25 per night. This JIB Gold Card package is also available using Home Study for parts of the course.
